Updated: Feb 20

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Association of Serbian Banks.

Association of Serbian Banks - A Century-Long Support to the Banking Sector

Since its founding in 1921, the Association of Serbian Banks has been representing, protecting and promoting the activities of its members and coordinating banking practices by means of implementing general rules and principles of professional work and good business practices. In line with the prevailing trends in banking, the Association, through its organisational units: Credit Bureau, Bank Clearing Institution and Bank Training Centre, develops activities that support banks and significantly facilitate their operations. The active engagements of expert committees in all segments of banking provides assistance to banks in terms of risk management, retail banking, digital banking, cyber security, payment operations, international accounting standards, compliance function, financial market development and so on.

The ASB is a member of the European Banking Federation (EBF), the European Banking & Financial Services Training Association (EBTN), the Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe (BACEE), the International Coordinating Council of the Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe (IBC), the Association of Consumer Credit Information Suppliers (ACCIS), the Commission on Banking Technology and Practice of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The ASB cooperates intensively with numerous international institutions, banking associations and other international financial organizations (SWIFT, European Compliance Institute, ATTF).

By marking the European Money Week and the World Savings Day, among other things, the Association demonstrates its special commitment to financial education, as well as socially responsible projects, including the Foundation for the Study of Science and Arts. The Foundation was formed in 1996 by the Association, together with the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts and the National Bank of Serbia, with the aim of providing conditions for the education of young and extremely talented students, and enabling them to produce creative work in science and art.

For a full century, the Association has been providing support to the banking sector, the economy and citizens, and it will continue to do so in the future, proud of its tradition, results and successes, and following the development of new technologies and the omnipresent trend of digitalisation.
